The eight-week outing–kicking off September 28 in Ottawa and spanning 34 cities throughout North America this fall–will mark 50 years since the original lineup's farewell U.S. tour of 1968.

As BroadwayWorld reported over the weekend, The Boys in the Band canceled its performance on Saturday evening because of a cast member injury. We can confirm that the cast member in question is Jim Parsons, who was also out of the show Monday evening.

Kathie Lee, Hoda and John Cena welcome actors Zacahry Quinto, Matt Bomer and Andrew Rannells, who in addition to being friends are co-stars in the 50th anniversary edition of "The Boys in the Band," the groundbreaking play about a group of gay men who gather for a friend's birthday party. "To get to do it with these guys is just a dream," Bomer says.

Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber are proud to announce the final production in its 2017 - 2018 season of Chicago's hit musical revue series, New Faces Sing Broadway. Due to demand, The New Group has announced a three-week extension for Jerry Springer - The Opera, with Matt McGrath appearing as Jerry Springer beginning March 13.  Terrence Mann, currently appearing in the role of Jerry Springer, plays his final performance March 11 due to an existing commitment beyond that date.

The Miles Electric Band, a progressive, All-Star ensemble of Miles Davis alumni who are revising the framework for modern jazz improvisation, will perform at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya) on Thursday, March 1 at 8:00pm.  The avant-garde collective revisits repertoire from Davis' electric period (1968 - 1975) in paying homage to The Chief.  The band represents two generations of players: Davis' contemporaries and the next generation.

THE PRICE by Arthur Miller premiered on Broadway in 1968 and was nominated for two Tony Awards, for Best Play and Best Scenic Design. It is a timeless piece regarding the choices we make and the consequences we eventually face. It is about family dynamics, the price of furniture and the price of one's decisions, taking place in a soon to be demolished family house where two brothers, estranged for decades, meet together to dispose of their late parents' property. The resulting confrontation leads them to examine the events and qualities of their very different lives and the price each of them has had to pay to have the lives they now lead.
