Ashland Ave. in Chicago. Throughout the summer months, Barrel of Monkeys will premiere stories from the 2014-15 school year - all conceived and written by Chicago Public School students and adapted for the stage and performed by Barrel of Monkeys Company Members. This Thursday, August 21, 2014, Princeton Ballet School will host a special workshop led by notable alumna and Fulbright Scholar Casey Lee Thorne. Thorne graduated from Princeton Ballet School's Professional Training Program and is Founder and Artistic Director of Inside Out Contemporary Ballet (IOCB), a professional dance company based in Marin, California. She will lead a contemporary dance workshop for advanced dancers at Princeton Ballet School's studios in Princeton, NJ on August 21, 2014 from 11:45 am until 1:15 pm. The workshop is part of Thorne's choreographic project If I Were You - Project Israel, for which she recently received a Fulbright Scholarship.

A rethinking of the 1986 biographical play by Hugh Whitemore about mathematician and computing innovator Alan Turing who was instrumental in solving the Nazi's Enigma Code yet was vilified as a homosexual and chemically castrated before ultimately being pardoned 60 years after his death. A swirling production that is both a puzzle play and a tour-de-force for Mark H. Dold, who plays Turing brilliantly.

'I definitely have a choreographic style - much of what I do is ballet-based and athletic, but I was trained in the Jack Cole manner. My mentors, Ron Lewis, Ron Fields, were all Jack Cole people. Phelan originally trained at Princeton Ballet School from 2000 to 2009, and then continued her training at the School of American Ballet, the official training academy of New York City Ballet. She became an apprentice of the company in December of 2012, and joined New York City Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet in November of 2013.
