Executive Director Kam Bellamy announces Churchtown Dairy's first-ever theatrical venture: The Dairy presents The Madwoman of Chaillot, written by Jean Giradoux and adapted by Maurice Valency, in a production by innovative theatre company The Lunar Stratagem, running July 19-27, 2019 in the unique and architecturally striking Round Barn.

Three-time Pulitzer Prize-Winner Thornton Wilder's The Skin of Our Teeth begins performances on Thursday, July 11 at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage (83 East Main Street) in Stockbridge, MA, and runs through August 3.

The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural and language center, today announced the 2019 Crossing the Line Festival, featuring 11 performances and a gallery exhibition from a geographically, generationally, and artistically diverse group of artists whose work transcends genres and boundaries. All performances are world, US, or New York premieres; they are united by their convention-breaking fearlessness as they confront topics from social injustice to personal demons. Many of the performances pay homage to legendary artists of our time and previous eras, while the theme of migration and its transformational effects on identity informs several others. The Skin of Our Teeth, the Pulitzer Prize-winning tribute to the indestructibility of the human race by Thornton Wilder, opens on the beautiful outdoor stage at Will Geer's Theatricum Botanicum on Saturday,July 13, where performances continue through Sept. 29.

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy that Jackie Sibblies Drury's Fairview has officially won the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Exchange Theatre return to London this June with their tenth anniversary revival of Jean-Paul Sartre's rebellious and highly political play The Flies. Sartre's thriller re-imagines the Greek tragedy of Electra and Orestes, exploring the complexities of human values in a period of political turbulence.

'For time is the longest distance between places' but in the case of an iconic play like The Glass Menagerie, time seems to melt away. Tennessee Williams based the play on his 1943 short story 'Portrait of a Girl in Glass.' The Glass Menagerie premiered in 1944 in Chicago where it caught the attention of critics Ashton Stevens and Claudia Cassidy. With their help, the producers were able to move the play to Broadway, where it opened at the Playhouse Theatre in 1945. In The Glass Menagerie, the character Tom serves as both narrator and character in a play that is memory and yet somehow very real and present. The Glass Menagerie runs April 4-April 14 at Hershey Area Playhouse.

Irish Repertory Theatre announced today special events and programming for the month of March as part of the The Sean O'Casey Season, a comprehensive retrospective of the work of renowned Irish playwright Sean O'Casey, celebrating 30 years of Irish Repertory Theatre.

Opening disclosure: I love this script! I think it's one of American theater's great treasures. It's remarkably timely despite being written in the 1940s. Penned by Thornton Wilder after OUR TOWN, it won the Pulitzer Prize in 1943. It's hugely inventive, theatrically bold rather than narrowly realistic, meta before meta was a thing, about truly big issues (e.g., the survival of the human race) and wickedly funny to boot. It should be noted that not everyone agrees, and there were some folks in the opening night audience in Saint Paul who left in the second intermission.

Starz, a Lionsgate company (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), today announced the recent acquisition of four new documentaries including Daughters of the Sexual Revolution: The Untold Story of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, the behind-the-scenes story of how the original Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders became a controversial pop culture phenomenon at the height of the Sexual Revolution. The documentary premieres on Monday, January 14 at 9 PM ET/PT and will be available for download or streaming via the STARZ app.

The characters in Eugene O'Neil's "Moon For The Misbegotten," now being performed by the Kansas City Actors' Theatre at Union Station, are tours de force for serious actors and serious audiences.   The story, while not autobiographical, follows the life path of O'Neil's brother James.  They are, in some ways, similar to the tragic heroes of William Shakespeare and the tortured souls of Tennessee Williams.

Craft Recordings is proud to announce the release of The Complete Cuban Jam Sessions 5-LP and 5-CD box sets on November 9, 2018. Compiled here in their entirety and original format for the first time, the five volumes of Panart's Cuban Jam Session albums were recorded over a span of almost a decade, from 1956-1964. Together these albums encapsulate a stylistic and historic panorama of Cuban music, from big band son montuno to Afro-Cuban rumba, mambo, cha-cha-chá and country acoustic guajira music.  Last year, the four members of the Cranberries – Dolores O'Riordan, Noel Hogan, Mike Hogan, and Fergal Lawler – came together to plan a 25 th Anniversary box set release for their debut album, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, one of the definitive indie albums of all time. Following Dolores' untimely death in January this year, the remaining band members have decided to go ahead with the album's expanded 25 th Anniversary Edition box set, which is set for global release on October 19 by Island/UMe in 4CD and digital audio formats. On the same date, a 2CD Deluxe package pairing the remastered album with session outtakes, B-sides, the band's debut EP, and early demos will be released, as well as digital and vinyl editions of the remastered album, including a 180-gram black LP and a limited edition color LP.

International City Theatre presents The Glass Menagerie, the iconic American classic that launched the career of playwright Tennessee Williams. John Henry Davis (ICT productions of A Walk in the Woods, End of the Rainbow, Trying) directs William's most personal work, opening Aug. 24 at International City Theatre in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Two low-priced previews take place Aug. 22 and Aug. 23.
