Making its Chicago area premiere April 28, with press opening Sunday, May 1 at 7 p.m., NUNSET BOULEVARD will run through May 29 at Theatre at the Center, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana. NUNSET BOULEVARD follows the irrepressible Little Sisters of Hoboken as they receive the news that they have been invited to sing at the Hollywood Bowl. They are thrilled at the prospect until they arrive and realize they are booked at the Hollywood Bowl-A-Rama instead. The comedy mounts when the nuns learn that a famous movie producer is across the street auditioning actresses for his new movie musical, 'NUNSET BOULEVARD: A Song from the Hart,' about the life of Dolores Hart, the famous movie star who became a nun. The Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company just received word that it's the recipient of a grant of $10,500.00 from the Cooperative Marketing Program, provided by the New Jersey Department of State: Division of Travel and Tourism, stating in the accompanying letter that 'your comprehensive application and well-developed marketing plan persuaded the committee of your commitment to strengthening your own mission, supporting regional and state tourism and working toward a stronger New Jersey economy.' This year, for the first time, a 90-minute Highlights Special of the Drama Desk Awards Ceremony will be televised nationally on OVATION, the national cable network dedicated to presenting creative arts programming to national TV audiences.
