One of the most iconic rock-and-roll bands to come out of London during the 1970s—Grammy Award-winning “America”—joins Pacific Symphony Pops to rock the house with hot hits, soulful ballads and rock classics. The perennial folk-country-rock favorite celebrates its 44th anniversary this year with nearly half a century of gold and platinum albums, chart-topping hits and a variety of genre-crossing tunes in its wake. The band's surreal, somewhat psychedelic lyrics, which were an anomaly in their genre, helped to define the new California soft-rock sound that grew out of the area's folk and pop. Founding members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell join the orchestra to perform such signature hits as “A Horse with No Name,” “Ventura Highway,” “You Can Do Magic,” “Lonely People,” “Sister Golden Hair,” “Tin Man” and more.

With a slew of regional productions, revivals, and tours, EVITA continues to capture the hearts of audiences, and the U.S. National Tour of the 2012 Broadway Revival production is a prime example of why.

Beach, who created the role of Henry in The Great American Mousical at Goodspeed's Norma Terris Theatre in 2012 is a comic genius (loved him in the original Urinetown on Broadway). The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's 20th Anniversary Season continues this spring with a new staging of the singing and dancing musical based on the classic MGM film, Singin' in the Rain. Nearly twenty years after the show was last seen on a Frederick stage, Way Off Broadway's production will open tonight, March 28th and run through May 31st.
Performance-only tickets are now on sale to the general public for ACT TWO: A SWELL PARTY WITH MOSS HART AND FRIENDS, An Evening of Songs Sketches, Scenes and More Celebrating the Genius of Moss Hart, Monday April 21 at 8pm at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street). Performers scheduled to appear in the entertainment, which will serve as the centerpiece of Lincoln Center Theater's Annual Benefit and which will be directed by Bartlett Sher, are Victoria Clark, Stephen Colbert, David Garrison, Malcolm Gets, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Byron Jennings, Kelli O'Hara, Steven Pasquale, and Lewis J.
