The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) announced complete casting today for the world premiere of THE TWENTY-SEVENTH MAN by Nathan Englander. Directed by Barry Edelstein, THE TWENTY-SEVENTH MAN begins previews on Wednesday, November 7 in The Public's Martinson Theater and will run through Sunday, December 9. The official press opening, originally scheduled for Monday, November 19, will now take place on Sunday, November 18. Single tickets, beginning at $75, are on sale now. The musical, which has not been seen in New York City since its brief off-Broadway run over ten years ago, will be directed by Mr. Brown.

Capital Stage previously announced a change to its 2011-12 schedule. How I Learned to Drive, originally scheduled for a July/August run, opens at the midtown theatre tonight, May 19. The Sacramento premiere of Christopher Shinn's Dying City will move to the summer production dates, July 18 - August 12, 2012. 'We're changing the performance schedule of the these two productions to accommodate a scheduling conflict with one of our key artists,' explains Producing Director, JoNathan Williams.

The Old Globe's 2012-13 Season will feature the World Premieres of two new musicals: Allegiance - A New American Musical by Jay Kuo and Lorenzo Thione and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder by Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak. The season also includes George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion in celebration of the classic play's 100th anniversary and the World Premiere of a new adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House by Anne-Charlotte Hanes Harvey and Kirsten Brandt. Two recent Broadway hits will make their San Diego debuts at the Globe: David Lindsay-Abaire's Good People and Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities. Rounding out the season are the West Coast Premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's Be a Good Little Widow and the Southern California Premiere of Tarell Alvin McCraney's The Brothers Size.

Jonah Hill Joins 'Nothing But Nets' Grassroots Campaign to Fight Malaria in Africa

This week, actor and comedian Jonah Hill is celebrating his birthday by asking his fans and supporters to send life-saving bed nets to refugees in the Horn of Africa through the UN Foundation's Nothing But Nets-a global, grassroots campaign to fight malaria in Africa. As part of a new contest on fundraising site Crowdrise.com, Hill is competing against 11 other celebrities to raise money for their chosen charities. The Mozilla Corporation, hosts of the Firefox web browser, will award $25,000 to the charity to raise the most by January 11, 2012.
