LAByrinth Theater Company (John Ortiz, Artistic Director; Philip Seymour Hoffman, Co-Artistic Director; John Gould Rubin, Co-Artistic & Executive Director) has announced the complete lineup for its two annual festivals of free staged readings, the Barn Series (October 23 - November 15, 2008) and Live Nude Plays (November 16 - 19, 2008), as well as its next workshop production, Philip Roth in Khartoum (December 4 - 21, 2008), launching the second season of Public LAB.
McAnuff To Direct 'Guys and Dolls' On Broadway In Spring '09

Today it was announced that GUYS AND DOLLS will open on Broadway for the first time in 17 years in the spring of 2009 at a Nederlander Theatre to be announced. With music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, this production is the first joint Broadway project by director Des McAnuff and Sergio Trujillo since Jersey Boys.

The 2003 Edinburgh Fringe Festival hit play 12TH PREMISE, by Los Angeles playwright Brian Crano, will have its U.S. Premiere at The Lillian Theatre (1076 Lillian Way in Hollywood). Kristin Hanggi, who won both the LA Weekly and the LADCC Awards for Best Direction for the Ovation Award-winning musical bare, is set to stage this dramatic play about twenty-something college students emerging into the real world. Presented by Chaotic Entertainment, the limited engagement begins performances on March 3, 2005 with an official press opening on March 10, 2005.
