The cult classic movie, Evil Dead, turns 30 this year and The Ringwald/Who Wants Cake? and Olympia Entertainment are celebrating the film's world premiere which took place in Detroit in 1981 by bringing the hilariously bloody homage, Evil Dead: The Musical, back to the City.

The Off-Broadway musical THE SPHINX WINX, a musical comedy misinterpretation of the classic love triangle between Cleopatra, Julius Caesar and Marc Antony, will play its final performance at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street) in Manhattan on Sunday, June 19, it has been announced by the show's producers Tifft Productions.
The REP, Point Park University's professional theatre company, will produce four works, including three world premieres and one Pittsburgh premiere, in the 2011-2012 season, which opens September 9, 2011 and runs through April 7, 2012 at the Pittsburgh Playhouse.

According to ComingSoon.net, Disney plans to release 'Oz, the Great and Powerful', a prequel to 'The Wizard of Oz,' in March 2013. Set to star in the film are the previously reported Michelle Williams, James Franco, Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz.

According to Variety, Mila Kunis has signed to play the witch Theodora in 'Oz, the Great and Powerful', a prequel to 'The Wizard of Oz'. The film begins production in July and will likely be released in theatres in 2013. No official release date has of yet been set.
