With SXSW 2019 just around the corner, we are excited to reveal five Keynotes as well as more Featured Speakers across 25 Tracks of curated Conference programming.

The Canadian Opera Company announced today a new mainstage commission: The Old Fools by celebrated Montreal-based composer Ana Sokolovi? and seasoned British librettist Paul Bentley. La Reine-Garcon, first announced in 2015, is moving forward as a co-commission with the Opera de Montreal; it's the first mainstage collaboration of its kind between the two major Canadian opera companies and at its helm are two exceptional Canadian artists: Julien Bilodeau as composer and Michel Marc Bouchard as librettist.

The Country Music Association has today announced its new Board of Directors for both CMA and the CMA Foundation. The appointments are effective on Jan. 1, 2019. 

Broadway Training Center of Westchester (BTC), one of the region's premier performing arts schools, will present 'CATS' November 16 through November 18 at the Irvington Town Hall Theater in Irvington, N.Y.

Big Night Entertainment Group (BNEG) and Live Nation today announce the debut of luxury music hall Big Night Live in early fall 2019 at The Hub on Causeway. The Hub on Causeway is a joint venture development from Delaware North and Boston Properties that consists of more than 1.5 million square feet of mixed-use retail, office, hotel, and residential space, as well as an expansion of TD Garden.

After a massive summer tour with electrifying performances and stage production in front of packed Amphitheaters nationwide, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and BREAKING BENJAMIN will expand theirco-headlining North American tour which will now take both artists into Arenas nationwide through Fall 2018. Produced by FPC Live (Frank Productions), the Fall Arena tour will once again feature 2018 breakout rock band Bad Wolves (select dates) with Swedish heavyweights In Flames on other select shows. Chart toppers From Ashes To New will offer support on all fall dates, while special guest Trap-Core DJ Felmax will bring his heavy beats to round out the night of entertainment.

Face Forward announces that the featured performer at their “La Dolce Vita” themed Gala will be Grammy winning artist NE-YO this September 22, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Ted Austin, Chair of the Board of Directors at Portland Center Stage at The Armory, announced today that Marissa Wolf has been selected as the next Artistic Director at Portland Center Stage at The Armory, after an eight-month, nationwide search. Wolf, most recently the Associate Artistic Director at Kansas City Repertory Theatre, previously served as the Artistic Director at San Francisco's innovative Crowded Fire Theater. Wolf joins Managing Director Cynthia Fuhrman as co-leader of the city's leading professional theater and begins her role full-time on September 15, 2018.

Now entering its 56th season, the New York Youth Symphony (NYYS) is launching a Musical Theater Composition (MTC) program, to be led by newly-appointed director Anna K. Jacobs. In a partnership with the Harlem School of the Arts, this new program aims to diversify the world of musical theater by creating opportunities for young composers to have their compositions workshopped and performed by both peers and professionals.
