“Those Were the Days” when we were “Wishin’ and Hopin’” to hear the infectious and soulful ballads that made household names of Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield and Lulu. But the time has come when you don’t have to go “Downtown” or “Round Every Corner” because “I Know a Place” where you can hear the greatest hits from the 1960s. So “Don’t Sleep in the Subway” and hurry to the Marriott Theatre. Come hear the soundtrack of your life presented like never before. It will make you want to jump out of your seat and “SHOUT!”

Black Lab Theatre Announces Season Salute to Gen-Y
by Ben Peltz - Aug 13, 2013

Shout out to Generation Y: Black Lab Theatre has your back with a new season celebrating the coming of age in the new millennium. Black Lab Theatre's 2013-2014 season kicks off this fall with the razor-sharp, Off-Broadway comedy Assistance by Leslye Headland, a scathing look at megabuck corporate office politics through the hilariously ambition-driven eyes of Generation-Y staffers. Black Lab's regional premiere of Assistance comes just ahead of the play's much anticipated TV adaptation starring Krysten Ritter and Alfred Molina to be produced for NBC by Will Ferrell's Gary Sanchez Productions with the play's author, Leslye Headland signed on to scribe. Headland wrote Assistance (Greed) as part of her "Seven Deadly Sins" series, and comes on the heels of Bachelorette, another hit play in the series that recently received a feature film release in 2012 staring Kirsten Dunst. Assistance will run at Wildfish Theater in the Galleria Area September 19 through Oct 5 at 8pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays plus a Monday Industry Night on Sept 30.

AS GOD IS MY WITNESS is Released
by Christina Mancuso - Aug 12, 2013

The poem 'Silent Scream' found at the end of this novel is a poetic summation for Ann Haydon's As God is My Witness: Annie's Story. It is a poem that will make you cry. It is about a victim named Annie who was abused by her stepfather but stayed silent for so long, since trying to clear a path for herself out of that deep wounding and betrayal took time. Haydon's book is not a mere shout of pain or a trail of tears that she follows. Annie's story is poignant, yes, but it shows more-it shows victims and the general public how to get to the point where healing is possible:

The Grove Theatre Presents BEATLES VS. STONES - A MUSICAL SHOUT OUT Tonight
by BWW News Desk - Jul 13, 2013

For decades, the battle has raged: Beatles or Stones? Through their heyday, fans accused London's Rolling Stones of stealing ideas -- even entire albums - from their Liverpool counterparts. Both bands are unmistakably great, scoring an array of hits that changed musical history, but only one can be the best. The most infamous rivalry in rock and roll never played out in a public arena until now as Beatles vs. Stones - A Musical Shoot Out performs tonight, July 13th, 8pm at The Grove Theatre.
