As Purlie Victorious enters its final weekend on Broadway, BroadwayWorld is very excited to share an exclusive essay written by Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee's daughter, Hasna Muhammad, who played a key role in getting this landmark play back on Broadway. 

The new EP is their first new music since 2023's “Bones” single that followed 2022's Coming Home: A Collection of Songs album – featuring songs the duo had written over the years along with new single “Coming Home,” a cover of Willie Nelson's “On The Road Again,” and a re-recorded version of fan favorite “Hung the Moon.”

RENT is an assemblage of romantic tragedy interspersed with moments that touch your heart, rattle your nerves or tickle your funny bone, set in the gritty underbelly of New York at the height of the AIDS epidemic. The show is a tribute to the spirit of people undaunted by poverty, addiction and illness in the face of a very bleak reality. 

Quirky, irreverent, and so much fun, the show even offers audience members the chance to go onstage to be a part of the Bee.

Jamaican dancehall artist Teejay releases new single 'Dip' featuring Tommy Lee Sparta.
