South Coast Repertory has lined up a slate of talented actors and directors to bring to life the five staged readings in this year's 13th annual Pacific Playwrights Festival (PPF), which takes place April 23-25.
With two BAFTAs, four British Comedy Awards, and a slew of rave reviews to its name, hit contemporary comedy Gavin & Stacey is back for more heartwarming and hilarious moments in the tangled lives of four young people and their friends and family. The Los Angeles Times said 'Gavin & Stacey is a gem of a show - funny, touching and welcome proof that the romantic comedy can and will survive irony, Botox, Judd Apatow and all the vagaries of the modern age' while The New York Times called it 'the most endearing comedy about love to come to television since the Manolos were packed up and put away.' ABC announces its summer schedule, with the return 'The Bachelorette' on Monday, May 24 (9:00-11:00 p.m.); 'True Beauty' on Monday, May 31 (10:02-11:00 p.m.); a special two-hour blind date-themed episode of 'Wipeout' on Tuesday, June 1 (8:00-10:00 p.m.), before the premiere on Tuesday, June 22 (8:00-10:00 p.m.); 'Dating in the Dark' on Monday, August 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m.), and 'Shaq VS' on Tuesday, August 10 (9:00-10:00 p.m.).
