I DO! I DO!
Book and Lyrics by Tom Jones
Music by Harvey Schmidt
The story of Michael and Agnes and their 50 years of marriage famously takes place around
a large four-poster bed and introduced the standard, "My Cup Runneth Over." Written as a
star vehicle for theater legends Mary Martin and Robert Preston by the creators of The
Fantasticks, the original Broadway production of I Do! I Do! received seven Tony Award
nominations, with Preston winning Best Actor. Since then, such luminaries as Carol
Lawrence and Robert Goulet, and Carol Burnett and Rock Hudson have enjoyed success in
the musical two-hander. And now the Globe's "cup runneth over" as Paige Davis
(television's "Trading Spaces" and Broadway's Chicago) and Patrick Page (The Globe's
Cyrano De Bergerac and Broadway's The Lion King) take their turn at this funny and
heartwarming musical about the joy, struggles, humor and passion that is every marriage.
Previews: December 11 and 12 at 2:00pm, opens December 12 at 8:00pm, closes
December 20.
Tickets: $39-$85

WHISPER HOUSE
Music and Lyrics by Duncan Sheik
Book and Lyrics by Kyle Jarrow
Directed by Peter Askin
Tony and Grammy Award-winning songwriter Duncan Sheik follows up his Broadway
sensation, Spring Awakening, with this haunting new musical. It's 1942 - at the height of
World War II - and Christopher, an imaginative young boy, is sent to live with an aunt he's
never met: Lilly, a reclusive woman who serves as the keeper of a remote lighthouse. Not
yet comfortable in his surroundings, Christopher begins to hear strange music no one else
can hear seeping through the walls. It doesn't take long for him to suspect the lighthouse
may be haunted, and these ghosts tell him that Yasujiro, a Japanese worker that Lilly has
employed, should not be trusted. Is Christopher's imagination getting the best of him? Or
are these ghosts warning Christopher about the very real dangers that lie ahead? Whisper
House is a touching and beautiful story about how we should embrace, rather than fear, the
unknown.

STREET LIGHTS
Music/Book/Lyrics by Joe Drymala
Street Lights uses hip hop, R&B and pop to tell a timeless story in the musical language of
today's youth, while creating a bridge to earlier generations by incorporating samples of
classic civil rights anthems. While fighting to save their high school music program from
being shut down, the teenagers of Street Lights discover the power of music to unite their
community and bring new hope to the residents of their troubled neighborhood. The talented
singer and songwriter Dominique, her academically gifted brother Rocky and their beatmaking
DJ friend X-Ray use organizing techniques pioneered during the civil rights
movement to help rally the people around them. When Dominique begins to fall in love with
Damon, a local drug dealer with a Robin Hood streak, she must choose between accepting
the hard realities of the world she lives in or try to change her neighborhood for the better.
