The 5th Avenue Theatre will complete its 2021/22 Season with a musical radio play production of Wonder Boy, a moving and poignant new musical about a transgender man attempting to find a new normal in his identity.
The 5th Avenue Theatre has announced that The Lamplighter, a new musical with a book by Sara Porkalob, music and lyrics by Justin Huertas, and story by Kirsten “Kiki” deLohr Helland, Huertas, and Porkalob, concludes the trio of Musical Radio Plays it will produce in its 2020/21 digital season.
The creatives behind the new musical The Lamplighter recently chatted about the show in a new interview from 5th Avenue Theatre. The interview features Sara Porkalob (Book & Story), Justin Huertas (Music, Lyrics, & Story) and Kirsten deLohr Helland (Story).
The undergraduate theatre training programs from three Seattle institutions, Cornish College of the Arts, Seattle University, and the University of Washington, present Uncharted Waters, a virtual tri-production of two plays: William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, and a new devised work responding to the themes of Twelfth Night.
In its World Premiere, Justin Huertas' new holiday mini-musical A VERY MERRY KRAKEN TEA PARTY will be available for digital access beginning November 27, and is on sale now at www.artswest.org.
