A Contemporary Theatre presents a coming-of-age story that challenges the heart of a modern family as childhood friends Charlotte and Jonny begin a romance when they go off to college. Written by Bathsheba Doran (Boardwalk Empire, Smash, and Masters of Sex contributor), The Mystery of Love & Sex is a humorous and tender look at navigating relationships while attempting to define them.

The Mystery of Love & Sex features the talents of Ray Abruzzo (ACT debut) of HBO's The Sopranos as Howard, Emily Chisholm as Charlotte, Mary Kae Irvin as Lucinda, and ACT Core Company Member Lorenzo Roberts as Jonny. The creative team includes Allison Narver (Director), Matthew Smucker (Scenic Designer), Catherine Hunt (Costume Designer), Andrew Smith (Lighting Designer), and Robertson Witmer (Sound Designer).

The Mystery of Love & Sex premiered at Lincoln Center Theater in 2015 and starred Tony Shalhoub and Diane Lane.

"Ms. Doran also probes such fertile mysteries as the fluidity of identity, our ability to keep secrets from both our family and even ourselves, and the difficulty - and the rewards - of forgiveness."- The New York Times

The Mystery of Love & Sex plays May 27-Jun 26, 2016 (Opening/Press Night on Thursday, Jun 2) at ACT's Allen Theatre (700 Union Street, Seattle, WA 98101). Tickets start at $20 and may be purchased online at www.acttheatre.org, by phone at 206.292.7676, or at the ACT Ticket Office at 700 Union Street. Available to ACTPass members.
