Award-winning playwright and actor Brian Copeland (Not a Genuine Black Man, The Waiting Period, The Scion, The Jewelry Box) will continue his extremely successful run of GRANDMA & ME at The Marsh San Francisco, extending performances for a fourth time due to popular demand. Since its opening in October 2022, this work has performed to sold out crowds and captivated Bay Area theatregoers. Filled with Copeland’s trademark style of wit, laughter, and tears, GRANDMA & ME: An Ode to Single Parents examines the issues of single parenting and asks what it truly means to be a father. Copeland’s newest work is dedicated to the memory of his grandmother, Lena Mae Arbee.
