Julie Budd, singer and actor, will appear at The Rrazz Room, Hotel Nikko, 222 Mason, SF for three performances, April 23-25 at 8 PM. Tickets are $35- $40 and can be purchased at www.therrazzroom.com or directly through www.ticketweb.com or 866 468 3399.

Presenting an evening of the greatest standards, from jazz to theater to songs from films, Budd sings the Great American Songbook. "The songs in my show truly fit the definition of ‘standard' as all have proven they can withstand the test of time," said Budd. Featuring noted composers and lyric writers, the evening of "The Standard of Things" is loaded with everyone's favorites.

Julie Budd began her professional career at the age of twelve when she sang on over 100 of Merv Griffin's television programs. She has also appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, The Ed Sullivan show, and other major TV shows. She has shared the stage with Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, Bill Cosby, Joan Rivers and many others. "What a way to grow up in this business," she said. "Each of these major stars was like a professor and I was so lucky to work with and learn from them." She soon became a headliner herself, bringing concerts to The Kennedy Center, the London Palladium, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.

Called the "consummate performer" by the New York Times, Ms. Budd's multi-faceted musical career has ranged from television to film and the New York stage to the most lavish casinos and nightclubs in the country. She is featured in the recently released feature film, "Two Lovers," with Gwyneth Paltrow and Joaquin Phoenix. Her latest CD is The New Classics and she is writing a book about her days as a child performer.
