Steven Kemp Named Finalist In World Design Stage 2017

Steven Kemp, set designer for Opera San José's upcoming production of Silent Night, has been named a finalist at the World Stage Design 2017 in Taipei for his work on Opera San José's Falstaff during the company's 2013-14 season. Mr. Kemp is 1 of 120 professional set designers selected and 1 of 16 USA designs and 1 of only 8 USA set designs. This is his sixth season designing sets for the company having most recently designed the set for Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor. Winners will be announced in July 2017.

The World Stage Design attracts thousands of people globally. It is a four-yearly event that provides attendees and participants with an opportunity to experience an inspiring programme of theatre design, performances, workshops, seminars and thought-provoking exhibitions.
