By popular demand, Scrooge in Rouge, the British dance hall musical, returns to Diversionary on Friday, December 14, directed by Tony Houck (Craig Noel Award-winner for outstanding featured performance in Diversionary's 2008 production) and featuring Jacque Wilke, Tony Houck, Stewart Calhoun and Ricky Schaffer on the piano.

Scrooge in Rouge is a quick-change, cross-dressing version of the Dickens holiday classic, set in a Victorian music hall where three actors play 23 roles.  The popular show returns to Diversionary for a limited engagement. It's a holiday extravaganza, full of entertainment, rousing popular songs, comedy and specialty acts.

The show spills off the stage before and after the performance as Diversionary invites San Diegans to ditch their boring office parties and celebrate with four of the campiest British Music Hall performers you'll ever meet. Drinks are encouraged (wee ones aren't) at this offbeat San Diego Christmas tradition.

Joining Houck in staging the enhanced production are David Medina (Sets, Props and Holiday décor), Jennifer Brawn Gittings (Costumes), Peter Herman (Wigs), Luke Olson (Lights),Kevin Anthenill (Sound), Ryan Heath (Stage Manager), Bret Young (Producing Director) and John E. Alexander (Executive Director).

Tickets are available now at www.diversionary.org, by calling 619-220-0097 or by visiting 4545 Park Boulevard San Diego, CA 92116. Single ticket prices range from $25-39 (Prices are subject to change).
