After a successful launch last August, NEW CENTURY DANCE PROJECT returns to Salt Lake City July 18-22, 2017. New Century Dance Project, the brain-child of Los Angeles-based choreographer and teacher Francisco Gella (RDT dancer 1996-1998), brings together professional dancers and companies from Utah and beyond to share their expertise and artistic excellence with young aspiring dancers training for their future. This year, RDT is proud to be a sponsoring partner of the event held at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center.

The festival will culminate with a unique performance that features both dancers and local companies. The closing festival performance will be at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center's Jeanne Wagner Theater on Saturday evening July 22 at 7:00 pm.

Along with RDT, other local companies performing include SALT Contemporary Dance, Creative Arts Academy, Aspire Dance Academy, and Center Stage Performing Arts. In addition students from DanceWorks Costa Rica (Escazu, CR) and Dance Connection (Scottsdale, AZ) will be performing as well as Soshi Sklar from New World School of the Arts and Miami Dance Collective. The concert will also feature a newly commissioned work by award-winning choreographers Francisco Gella and Kayla Kalbfleisch. Students attending NCDP will audition and rehearse during the workshop.
