Screen icon Tab Hunter ("Damn Yankees") and television favorite Joyce Dewitt ("Three's Company") light up the stage of Pinehurst's Owens Auditorium in A.R. Gurney's play LOVE LETTERS (January 19-22). LOVE LETTERS is the inaugural production of Judson Theatre Company (Morgan Sills, Executive Producer; Daniel Haley, Artistic Director).

Love is what it's all about! A.R. Gurney's Pulitzer Prize nominated play LOVE LETTERS charts the 50 year romance between Andrew and Melissa through the cards, notes, and letters they write to share their desires, disappointments, and dreams. Directed by Judson Theatre Company Artistic Director Daniel Haley, Judson Theatre Company is the only place you can see Tab Hunter and Joyce Dewitt together in this perennial audience favorite.

LOVE LETTERS plays the following schedule:

Tab Hunter (Andrew) A product of Hollywood's golden age, Tab Hunter has starred in over 50 major motion pictures, including BATTLE CRY, THE PLEASURE OF HIS COMPANY, THAT KIND OF WOMAN, THEY CAME TO CORDURA, RIDE THE WILD SURF, THE LIFE AND TIMES OF JUDGE ROY BEAN, the Academy Award-nominated DAMN YANKEES, John Waters' POLYESTER, GREASE 2, and the cult comedy-Western LUST IN THE DUST. A few of Tab's leading ladies include Sophia Loren, Natalie Wood, Gwen Verdon, Rita Hayworth, Lana Turner, Debbie Reynolds, Kim Basinger and Michelle Pfeiffer. His recording of YOUNG LOVE was one of the top records of the rock and roll era, zooming to #1 on the charts worldwide (knocking Elvis out of the top spot) and remaining there for 12 weeks.

Tab was nominated for an Emmy for his performance opposite Geraldine Page in Playhouse 90's PORTRAIT OF A MURDERER. He starred in his own television series for NBC and has guest starred in over two hundred television series episodes. He appeared on Broadway with Tallulah Bankhead in Tennessee Williams's THE MILK TRAIN DOESN'T STOP HERE ANYMORE. Turning to producing, Tab teamed up with Allan Glaser to produce LUST IN THE DUST and DARK HORSE. His recently published autobiography Tab Hunter CONFIDENTIAL became a national best seller and garnered critical raves.

Tab keeps busy developing independent films projects and riding horses.

Joyce Dewitt (Melissa) is most widely known to audiences for her starring role as "Janet Wood" in the ABC Television hit series THREE'S COMPANY. She also has worked as an actress and director in the theatre for over forty years. She recently starred in the off-Broadway hit MISS ABIGAIL'S GUIDE TO DATING, MATING AND MARRIAGE! Other recent stage performances include the the Canadian premieres of the Pulitzer Prize winning DINNER WITH FRIENDS and Alfred Uhry's Tony Award-winning play THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO. Additional theatre credits include starring roles in OLYMPUS ON MY MIND, NOISES OFF, ANYTHING GOES, CHAPTER TWO, SWEET CHARITY, MEDEA, TARTUFFE, MACBETH, SOUTH PACIFIC, A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY, THE TEMPEST, and SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR.

Her other television credits include singing and dancing in numerous specials with such wonderful talents as Greer Garson, Ann Miller, Perry Como, Bill Cosby, Anne Murray, Tony Randall, Rich Little, Cheryl Ladd, John Ritter and Steve Martin. Guest-starring appearances include THE LOVE BOAT, THE OSMONDS, HOPE ISLAND, CYBILL, TWITCH CITY, and LIVING SINGLE, as well as starring in the television movies WITH THIS RING and SPRING FLING.
