Raleigh Little Theatre today announced that it will produce Hedwig and the Angry Inch in May 2015, replacing Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson in the 2014-2015 City Series. Hedwig, a high-voltage rock musical that won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, will be directed at RLT by Jesse R. Gephart.

Gephart last directed Art at RLT in the 2013-14 season, and also played the role of Richard Hannay in RLT's 2012 production of The 39 Steps. He also directs regularly for Hot Summer Nights/Theatre Raleigh and Theatre in the Park.RLT will automatically replace tickets purchased for Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson with ones for Hedwig. However, the theatre is also offering refunds or exchanges for other productions for any season member who does not wish to see Hedwig.

An announcement about the theatre's 2015-16 season is scheduled for early February. That will be the first season in the tenure of Patrick Torres, RLT's new artistic director.

Tickets for all events at RLT can be purchased by calling the box office (919)-821-3111, Monday through Friday, noon-5 PM, or by visiting the theatre's website at www.raleighlittletheatre.org. Hedwig and the Angry Inch will run from May 1 - 17 in the Gaddy Goodwin Teaching Theatre.
