Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC), the state's largest health insurer, became the exclusive sponsor of all customer and member ticketing services at DPAC on July 1, 2017.

DPAC and Blue Cross NC officials will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 9 a.m. on July 22, 2017, at the DPAC ticket center to celebrate the new partnership. The event will include a giveaway for a pair of tickets to the Broadway blockbuster Hamilton, which comes in SunTrust Broadway's 2018 / 2019 Season, along with a special performance by the regional winners of the Triangle Rising Stars competition.

"It's always our goal to provide legendary red-carpet customer service to each and every guest who visits DPAC, and we are excited for all the ways this partnership will help in achieving that goal," said Kelley Monts de Oca, DPAC's Director of Ticketing.

The Ticket Center at DPAC sold 457,350 tickets in 2016 - with 244,246 tickets sold online; 143,723 season tickets; 36,994 sold by phone and 32,387 sold in person at the Ticket Center.

"DPAC's continued success is proof of the great demand for a vibrant arts presence in this region," said Blue Cross NC Senior Vice President and Chief Sales, Marketing and Communications Officer John Roos. "We're proud to support DPAC, a world-class performing arts center that has been crucial to downtown Durham's revitalization and is making our state a better place to live for all of us."
