Best known internationally for his performance in the FOX series House, the beloved English actor and multi-talented musician Hugh Laurie will perform with the Copper Bottom Band in Mesa Arts Center's Ikeda Theater on June 3 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the publicSaturday, April 5 and are available at mesaartscenter.com or by calling 480-644-6500.

"I have resolved to forge on, deeper into the forest of American music that has enchanted me since I was a small boy," explains Laurie. "And the further I go, the more bewitched I become - both by the songs and by the people I have been lucky enough to play them with."

His successful musical career includes the production of a New Orleans Blues album in 2011, titled Let Them Talk, which was distributed worldwide by Warner Bros Records, and features both musical and vocal collaborations. A predominantly self-taught musician, Laurie has played the piano for most of his life. He also sings, and plays harmonica, guitar, drums and saxophone.

Laurie released his second album Didn't It Rain in May 2013 with Warner Music Entertainment. Didn't It Rain sees Laurie depart the sounds of New Orleans as he follows the trajectory of the blues upstream and into the American heartland, with blues, tango, Southern and South American music influences.

Throughout the 1990s, he starred in such Hollywood films as 101 Dalmatians and The Man in the Iron Mask, before landing his role as protagonist Dr. House in 2004, which earned him several Golden Globe nominations. Laurie is also a best-selling author, releasing the spy spoof thriller "The Gun Seller" in 1996, and he will appear opposite George Clooney in the high-profile science-fiction film Tomorrowland (due for release in 2015).
