Death and the Maiden is an explosive drama by Chilean playwright Ariel Dorfman. A former political prisoner believes she recognizes her torturer and rapist in the person of a Good Samaritan who finds her husband stranded by a flat tire and brings him home. She takes the man prisoner and threatens his life. Her husband takes the man's part and attempts to disprove the details of his wife's accusation in a harrowing mock trial. Is the man really guilty or is her traumatized brain tipping into paranoia?

The cast includes Cathy Gibbons Mostek of Drexel Hill, Eric Jarrell of Royersford, and Leigh Jacobs of Wynnewood.

There will be an opening Night Reception on Friday, Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m.; a Meet the Artists discussion after the performance on Sunday, Nov. 15; and Dessert Night at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20.

Audience advisory: Parental discretion is advised for those under 13 because of strong language and subject matter. The Players Club's Raymond W. Smith stage is not handicapped-accessible.
