Bucks County Playhouse, under the direction of Alexander Fraser and Robyn Goodman, announces exciting special events during the run of the new musical, "A Taste of Things to Come." The show features book, music and lyrics by Debra Barsha and Hollye Levin, and is directed and choreographed by Lorin Latarro (Broadway's "Waitress").

The first event will be a talk-back session following the 2:00pm preview performance on January 31 with Barsha and Levin. The writers will discuss their process, their inspiration, and will answer questions from the audience. The event is free of charge and will take place in the theatre as soon as the performance has ended and the audience has exited. Barsha is the associate conductor of Broadway's "Jersey Boys." Levin, a composer/lyricist with two gold records ("By Heart" with Jim Brickman and "Here in My Heart" with Jason Derlatka) is also well known for her book, music and lyrics for the stand-up comedy musical "Funny Business."

Following the talk-back session on January 31, Barsha and Levin will sign copies of their original cookbook in the lobby of the theatre. The cookbook will also be for sale.

On February 11, Bucks County Playhouse will host a special Ladies' Night event for the 7:30pm performance. For $45, female patron receive a discounted ticket and one wine, beer, or well-liquor drink from the Playhouse Riverview Café. The discounted tickets are available for seats in the Orchestra Tier I section, and drink tickets must be redeemed on the day of the performance.

Fraser and Goodman also announce the addition of Ariana Shore (Broadway's "The Performers") to the cast. Shore replaces Annaliese van der Pol, who has departed the production.

The show will begin previews at Bucks County Playhouse (70 S. Main Street, New Hope, PA) on January 30 with an opening night scheduled for February 3. In "Taste of Things to Come" it is the 1950s in Winnetka, IL and four women meet every Wednesday to share recipes and secrets. The Betty Crocker cooking contest may not change their lives, but the 1960s sure will!

Bucks County Playhouse will offer discounted preview performances of "A Taste of Things to Come" on Saturday, January 30 at 8 pm, Sunday, January 30 at 2pm, and Tuesday, February 2 at 7:30 pm. Tickets to preview performances are only $30. Opening night is Wednesday, February 3 at 7:00 pm. The Playhouse is also offering a special early bird discount for tickets purchased before January 30.
