For one weekend only, Bristol Riverside Theatre presents the Vital Theatre Company performing Fancy Nancy, The Musical based on the popular children's book. Performances are Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2 at 11:00, 1:00 and 3:00 both days. Tickets ($15 for children and $25 for adults) are available by visiting brtstage.org or calling the BRT Box Office at 215-785-0100. All six performances are at Bristol Riverside Theatre (120 Radcliffe Street in Bristol, PA).

Fancy Nancy and her friends, Bree, Rhonda, Wanda, and Lionel are going to be performing in their very first show, "Deep Sea Dances." Nancy is positive-that's fancy for 100 percent sure-that she and Bree will be picked to be mermaids. When another girl wins the coveted role of the mermaid, Nancy is stuck playing a dreary, dull tree. Can Nancy bring fancy flair to her role, even though it isn't the one she wanted?

"We are delighted to be presenting of the return of the Vital Theatre Company which has enchanted our audiences in past seasons with Pinkalicious and Angelina Ballerina," said Amy Kaissar, BRT's Managing Director.

Since its founding in 1999, Vital Theatre Company has presented over 75 original productions for over 300,000 children and their families. The Company has been recognized with the 2012 Off-Broadway Alliance Awards Best Family Show, an American Theatre Wing Award for Continued Commitment to Excellence in Theatre for two consecutive years, and several Off-Off Broadway Review (OOBR) Awards for Excellence.

The 2013-2014 mainstage season continues with Laughter on the 23rd Floor by Neil Simon (March 18-April 13) and Little Shop of Horrors by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman (May 6-June 8).

Since 1986, BRT has brought consistently acclaimed professional theatre to Bucks County and maintained a long-term commitment to finding and developing new plays. The theatre is the recipient of over 68 Barrymore Award nominations for Excellence in Theatre, given annually by Theatre Philadelphia. In addition to its mainstage productions, the theatre serves as a cultural hub for the community, with such programs as children's theatre, community concerts and exhibitions of local visual arts. Currently under the direction of Artistic Director Keith Baker, Founding Director Susan D. Atkinson, and Managing Director, Amy Kaissar, BRT continues its 27th season.
