A Fan Favorite is returning to the State Theatre as comedian Bobby Collins hits the stage on Friday, April 1. Collins returns in support of his 4th DVD which was recorded at the State Theatre last March. This DVD, aptly entitled Bobby Collins: Live from the State Theatre, will be available for purchase on the night of the show.

Show time is 7:30 PM. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by visiting the State Theatre Box Office, 453 Northampton Street, Easton, by calling 1-800-999-STATE, 610-252-3132 or online at www.statetheatre.org. Sponsored by Viamedia, Alan Kunsman Roofing and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. The performance is for mature audiences only.

Local comedians will perform in the Easton Hospital Gallery from 6-7 presented by DustinSchoof.com.

A regular to the State Theatre's comedy schedule, Bobby Collins knows the venue and the audience well. "The State Theatre in Easton, PA is a place where I feel very comfortable," says Collins, "there's a reason why I come back every year."

Named after his father's favorite comedian, Bob Hope, Bobby Collins has the combination of the physical comedy of Jerry Lewis and the heart of George Burns creating a born storyteller everyone can relate to. He's an American Comedy Award winner, a Grammy nominee, has his own Showtime Special, and has hosted comedy shows for VH-1, A&E and Showtime.

A native of New York, Bobby left a lucrative position as vice president of Calvin Klein to pursue his comedic dream and ended up working alongside such comedy legends as Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno. While other comics have left stand-up behind, Bobby has kept going, preferring the intimacy and energy he finds in live clubs, theaters and casinos.

Bobby Collins is the #1 most played and requested comedian on XM/Sirius Satellite Radio and has been called "most natural comedian working today" by the New York Times. Collins has opened for such showbiz stars as Frank Sinatra, Cher, Julio Iglesias, Tony Bennett and Dolly Parton and was Rosie O'Donnell's predecessor in hosting "VH-1's Standup Spotlight." With more than 200 stand-up performances around the country each year, he is a show-business institution who has made millions laugh.
