Renowned author Stephen King stopped by the Broadhurst Theatre last week to see the currently-running Broadway production of Misery, an adaptation of his celebrated 1987 horror novel. King went backstage to surprise stars Bruce Willis and Laurie Metcalf, and you can check out what went down below!

The 12th annual Broadway Stands Up for Freedom benefit concert was a bona fide smash. Dallas Theater Center is currently running the world premiere new musical The Fortress of Solitude, a co-production with The Public Theater in New York City. It began previews on March 7 and will continue to run through April 6. The Fortress of Solitude is based on the nationally best-selling novel of the same name by 2005 MacArthur Fellow Jonathan Lethem. The musical is conceived and directed by Daniel Aukin, with a book by Itamar Moses, and music and lyrics by Michael Friedman.

Huntington Theatre Company kicks off 2014 with David Ives' sexy Broadway smash hit Venus in Fur, deemed '90 minutes of good, kinky fun,' by The New York Times. Daniel Goldstein (God of Carnage) returns to the Huntington to the direct the 2012 Tony Award nominee for Best Play. Performances will begin on January 3 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre.
