To celebrate, we're looking back at the opening night of Broadway's most recent revival in 2008 starring Patti LuPone in the iconic role of Mama Rose. Irish Repertory Theatre's ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER begins performances tomorrow, June 15! The show stars Tony Award-nominee Stephen Bogardus (Bright Star), John Cudia (The Phantom of the Opera), and Tony Award-nominee Melissa Errico (Finian's Rainbow). Goodspeed Musicals continues its commitment to fresh, innovative works with this new musical infused with Connecticut flavor. BrightSide Theatre, Naperville's only professional theatre performing in the historic downtown district, wraps up their 6th Season - A Season of Classic Broadway Shows - with the American classic Broadway musical Guys and Dolls. The journey from the 21st Century back to Hollywood's glamourous golden age is an inspiring one when your "tour guides" are the legendary Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire - portrayed by Darien Crago and Jeremy Benton in Westchester Broadway Theatre's production of Lynnette Barkley and Christopher McGovern's Backwards in High Heels: The Ginger Musical, running August 13-September 20.

Prospect Theater Company presents The Underclassman, an original musical that explores F. Scott Fitzgerald's coming of age as a writer on the eve of World War I, and his first romance with the elusive debutante Ginevra King. Performances ran through November 30 at The Duke on 42nd Street, located at 229 W. 42nd Street, NYC.

On Thursday August 28th Barnes and Noble at Lincoln Triangle hosted Tony and Olivier Award-winning Patti LuPone, four-time Tony Award-winner Boyd Gaines and Tony Award-winner Laura Benanti for a Q&A and a CD signing with additional members of the Gypsy cast. The event was a celebration of the August 26th release of the Gypsy cast recording from Time Life. BWW TV brings you there for all the 'swell' and 'great' fun!

The New Broadway Cast Recording of Gypsy will be released on Tuesday August 26th, 2008. The recording session took place at Manhattan's Clinton Recording Studios and BroadwayWorld TV was there to capture all the excitement as the historic event took place.
