'This episode of Broadway Rewind is a look at a legend, a classic and a musical poet,' says BroadwayWorlds' own Richard Ridge. 'I got to chat with Cyndi Lauper who was making her Broadway debut in Roundabout's production of The Threepenny Opera, than I dropped by the opening of the new production of Jacques Brel starring Robert Cuccioli, but it started off downtown at the now defunct Actors Playhouse to catch up with an icon I had always wanted to meet, T.V. and cult film star Adrianne Barbeau, who was starring as the legendary Judy Garland in a one woman show 'The Property Known as Garland'  written by her husband Billy Van Sant.

Earl Weiner, Board Chairman of both The Acting Company and the Theater Development Fund (TDF) will receive the Warburg Humanitarian Award for his outstanding philanthropic endeavor and leadership. According to Barbara Fleischman, Gala Chair, Harriet Harris(Thoroughly Modern Millie, upcoming in Cinderella) and Dr. Kate Levin, Commissioner of New York City's Department of Cultural Affairs, will present the awards; Jim Dale will host, Kate Baldwin (Finian's Rainbow, upcoming in Giant) will perform and tributes will be offered by Angela Lansbury, Kevin Kline, Patti LuPone, Rainn Wilson, Dana Ivey, Hamish Linklater, Joe Dowling, Director of The Guthrie and Michael Kahn, Artistic Director of Washington's Shakespeare Theater. Four hundred guests complete an industry-filled audience of producers, directors, entertainers and other notables including The Honorable Thomas Kean, record producer Clive Davis,director/choreographer Susan Stroman, TV personality Pia Lindstrom, Juilliard President Joseph Polisi, composerMary Rodgers Guettel and The Broadway League's Charlotte St. Martin. Roundabout Theatre Company presents three-time Tony Award winner Frank Langella as 'Gregor Antonescu' in Terence Rattigan's drama Man and Boy, directed by Maria Aitken. As part of the centennial celebration of English playwright Terence Rattigan, Man and Boy began previews on September 9th and opens officially on October 9, 2011 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway. On May 17, 2010 Versatile Broadway performer John Bolton, Tony award-winning actor Jim Dale, renown musical conductor Aaron Gandy and Tony Walton, Jennifer Evans, Kevin Cahoon, Jessica Grove, Noah Racey and Annika Boras partook in The Theatre Museum's 2010 Awards Ceremony. The Awards Gala, which took place at the New York Players Club, was directed by Tony Walton. Aaron Gandy served as Musical Director.
