The award-winning Boomerang Theatre Company and Artistic Director Tim Errickson, have announced their production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM by William Shakespeare, directed by John Greenleaf (The Acting Company, Steppenwolf, Australian Elizabethan Theatre; Co-founder Shakespeare on the Hudson), as part of the company's 15 years presenting exceptional outdoor theatre. A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM will be presented at Central Park (69th Street and Central Park West), June 21 through July 20, 2014. Tickets are free and do not require a reservation. A vacant building on Howard Street, Evanston's first craft brewery and an 18-hole public golf course are sites for the three off-campus productions in the S.I.T.E. Festival, co-presented by Northwestern University's Virginia Wadsworth Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts -- formerly known as the Theatre and Interpretation Center. The plays will run through June 7.

Garden Grove's leading source for Shakespeare is back this summer, starting off its 2014 season with William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, June 21-July 19 in The Festival Amphitheater. Directed by Susan Angelo, A Midsummer Night's Dream follows fools and faeries through a romantic romp in which a magical potion forces lovers to fall in love with the wrong person. Set in beautiful Polynesia during the 1700s, SOC's rendition of the popular Shakespearian comedy includes the appearance of Garden Grove's Award-Winning Polynesian Dance Group, Hitia O Te Ra.
