Beginning January 29, The Jewish Museum will present Music Off the Wall, a new music and art series for toddlers on eight Tuesdays from 9:45 to 10:30 am. Led by musician and museum educator Mark Dzula, leader of the innovative and one-of-a-kind kid's band Jukebox Radio, this series offers a hip and playful blend of looking at art through a musical lens. Toddlers and their adult companions can discover fun ways to explore the Museum's galleries together through song, movement and hands-on activities. This series is designed for children ages 2 to 3.

Music, magic and merriment come together when Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida present the 29th annual 'Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade' holiday TV special, airing today, December 25 on the ABC Television Network. The Macaroons will perform three concerts for families at The Jewish Museum on Tuesday, December 25 at 11:30 am, 1:15 pm and 3 pm. Families can enjoy a guitar-based sound that recalls everything from the Kinks to Queen to the Shins. The Macaroons will perform such songs as Hurry Up, Light The Candle, Mezuzah, Billy the Bagel and more.

Last night, eight-time Grammy Award winner and 2009 Tony® Award nominee Dolly Parton, attended a performance of Newsies, the Tony® Award winning new American musical, and visited with the cast backstage afterwards. Parton attended with the show's director, Jeff Calhoun. Calhoun first worked with Parton when he was cast as a dancer in the 1982 film version of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and recently directed both the US and UK tours of her Broadway musical 9 to 5. For the first time ever, television audiences will have the opportunity to see a number performed on the stage of the Nederlander Theatre, where Newsies plays to sold-out crowds. During November and December the Brooklyn Museum will present an array of public programs for adults, teens, and kids, including the Sixth Annual Children's Book Fair; performances by award-winning trumpeter Christian Scott, bassist-composer Linda Oh, and the Brooklyn Conservatory Community Orchestra; conversations with artists Mickalene Thomas, Carrie Mae Weems, and Harmony Hammond; a reading from the memoir Conversations with Stalin by author Eleanor Antin; a screening of Mickalene Thomas's film Happy Birthday to a Beautiful Woman; a tour of the exhibition Aesthetic Ambitions: Edward Lycett and Brooklyn's Faience Manufacturing Company with curator Barbara Veith; and a variety of art-making classes and workshops.
