MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) today announced that Playwright-in-Residence Neil LaBute will direct three special benefit performances of his all new ‘shorts' series, Filthy Talk for Troubled Times: Scenes of Intolerance for the company.

The production will now officially open on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.

According to the New York Times, New York City's MCC Theater has made the first announcements regarding its 2010-2011 season at the Lucille Lortel Theater.

Performances of the four person play begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on April 9 and continue through May 23, 2010. Opening night is set for Monday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m.

MCC Theater has announced the line-up for their Fall 2009 PlayLab play readings of new plays by members of the company's Playwrights' Coalition Anton Dudley, Matthew Stephen Smith and Kara Manning to be held on October 26, November 2 and November 9. The three-week Monday night series will offer a special opportunity to experience works in development by some of New York's most exciting playwrights. As an added bonus, audience members will be invited to mingle with the artists at post-performance receptions to be held each night.
