BUILDING THE WALL, the new play by Pulitzer and Tony winner Robert Schenkkan (All The Way, Hacksaw Ridge - Academy Award nom. The Kentucky Cycle), currently making its New York premiere at New World Stages has announced an early closing.

Building the Wall, which begins performances tomorrow, May 12, at New World Stages, will be offering $27 student rush tickets during the show's preview period. The tickets are available for all preview performances and must be purchased at the New World Stages box office with a valid student ID. The offer is valid for a pair of tickets each and may be purchased for preview performances in advance.

The producers of BUILDING THE WALL have announced a financial and programmatic partnership with a small group of immigrant rights organizations including the AFSC'S Immigrant Rights Program, Define American, the Immigrant Defense Project, and the New York Immigration Coalition.

As BroadwayWorld reported last week, Rob Ashford just directed a private industry reading of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas with an all-star cast, including Broadway favorite Kristen Chenoweth. Now according to her recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the show might go on to have a life on Broadway. She explains: 'I think there is financing in place and I think it has to be a decision we can make and I have another show that I'm involved with about Tammy Faye Bakker. It's all about timing.'

AMERICAN PSYCHO, the American premiere of the musical based on the iconic novel by Bret Easton Ellis announces that it will play its final performance on Sunday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m. At the time of its closing, AMERICAN PSYCHO will have played a total of 81 performances. AMERICAN PSYCHO is currently playing on Broadway at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street).
