Ralph Presley III Release JUST THE TWO OF US
by Christina Mancuso
- May 27, 2016
Six years ago, Ralph received a book entitled 'Just The Two Of Us' from his wife, as a first Father's Day gift. Written by Will Smith and illustrated by Kadir Nelson, this children's book was written using the song lyrics from Will Smith's hit song single 'Just The Two Of Us' in which he used beautifully drawn artistic illustrations to describe each of his song verses. Motivated by such an inspirational work of authorship and artistry, Ralph decided to take one of his musical compositions, written in 2010 as a dedication to the city of New Orleans, and do the same. His book was written as a tribute to and reflection of his childhood years of growing up in the city of New Orleans.
The book was written with the theme 'everything New Orleans' from a true New Orleanian perspective; to be appreciated by true New Orleanians whom still reside in the city and by those that have relocated to other places. This book was written with the intent of being a true memoir of New Orleans of which one generation could pass down to future generations; describing the spirit of New Orleans and the good side of life that so many of us experienced growing up in such a great city; with the hopefulness that someday soon that spirit could return.
Ralph Presley III, a native of uptown New Orleans, is a graduate of Jesuit High School and Xavier University of New Orleans where he received a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management. Now an educator in Houston, Texas, Ralph hopes to come home someday.
Copies of Can we get back? are available from www.yourtimepublishing.com, Amazon.com, local book stores and other online retailers.
