Willow Smith, the 'Whip My Hair' tween hitmaker daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, has withdrawn from the forthcoming feature film remake of ANNIE. Charles Strouse, Thomas Meehan and Martin Charnin's Tony Award-winning stage musical ANNIE has previously been filmed twice, the first time in 1982 with John Huston in the director's chair and later in a made-for-TV adaptation produced by Disney and helmed by CHICAGO director Rob Marshall in 1999.
Zac Efron to Lead Supernatural Drama THE FALLING

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zac Efron is set to star in a new supernatural drama THE FALLING from director Akiva Goldsman. The actor will also produce the project via his Ninjas Runnin' Wild Production company, along with Tory Tunnell and Joby Harold of Safehouse Pictures.
Will Gluck to Helm ANNIE Remake; Willow Smith No Longer Attached

Deadline reports that Sony Pictues has hired Will Gluck to take on directing duties for its upcoming reboot of the Broadway musical ANNIE. While Will and Jada Smith's daughter Willow was in line to take on the title role, she is no longer attached to the project.

Callahan's 'edgy strategy,' according to The Atlantic Monthly, is to 'shame fat people' in order to combat obesity. He says that since 'diets, drugs and appeals to their health aren't working, they should be 'shamed and beat upon socially.' Karen Kataline, MSW author of FATLASH! Food Police & the Fear of Thin says this not only creates and exacerbates eating disorders and weight problems, but it is Callahan and people like him who ought to be ashamed.

Presented by Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, and Ruth and Stephen Hendel, FELA! is directed and choreographed by Tony Award® winner Bill T. Jones. Adesola Osakalumi will star as Kuti alongside a cast combining the toast of Broadway and members of the American and European casts.
