Vubiquity, the leading provider of multiplatform video services, today announced that it had acquired UK-based FilmFlex Movies Ltd., one of the largest VOD and multiplatform providers outside the United States. FilmFlex, formerly a joint venture between Sony Pictures Television and The Walt Disney Company Limited, provides digital storefront and video on demand services to connected consumers throughout the UK. The company has licensing agreements with major US studios and many independent distributors.

The original Broadway cast recording of the brand new stage edition of Disney's classic animated movie musical ALADDIN is now available for pre-order according to a new listing on the official site.

According to ET Online, Disney Parks kicked off summer with a 24-hour, bi-coastal celebration at Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Los Angeles Philharmonic Association President and Chief Executive Officer Deborah Borda has announced the appointment of Kathleen Kane to the position of Vice President of Philanthropy.
