Vubiquity Acquires FilmFlex

Vubiquity, the leading provider of multiplatform video services, today announced that it had acquired UK-based FilmFlex Movies Ltd., one of the largest VOD and multiplatform providers outside the United States. FilmFlex, formerly a joint venture between Sony Pictures Television and The Walt Disney Company Limited, provides digital storefront and video on demand services to connected consumers throughout the UK. The company has licensing agreements with major US studios and many independent distributors.

According to ET Online, Disney Parks kicked off summer with a 24-hour, bi-coastal celebration at Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The event ran from 6am on May 23rd to 6am the following morning. Josh Gad, the voice of Frozen's Olaf, was there for the festivities.

All interstitial programming, identification spots and programming menus will feature the new logo, style and palette. The design provides the unified global business with a creative, contemporary new look that authentically celebrates the faces, families and environments of Disney Channel viewers throughout the world.

Los Angeles Philharmonic Association President and Chief Executive Officer Deborah Borda has announced the appointment of Kathleen Kane to the position of Vice President of Philanthropy. Kane joins the Philharmonic from City of Hope in Los Angeles, where she was most recently the Chief Philanthropy and External Relations Officer.
