Vital Theatre Company, Inc and Carrie Libling, Director of Family Programming, are pleased to announce the opening of the first Canadian production of PINKALICIOUS, THE MUSICAL on Saturday, October 10th at the RICHMOND HILL CENTRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS in the Plaza Suite.

VITAL THEATRE COMPANY is pleased to announce the extension of THE BULLY, an original musical for children with music and lyrics by JOHN GREGOR and book by DAVID L. WILLIAMS, directed and choreographed by TROY MILLER, at the VITAL THEATRE.

Choice Theatricals and in association with Vital Theatre Company will present the World Premiere of Tony Glazer's new play, In the Daylight, directed by John Gould Rubin. Performances will begin on Tuesday, September 8th; opening on Sunday, September 20th and will run through October 11th, 2009 at the McGinn Cazale Theatre (2162 Broadway, 4th floor at 76th Street).

The top-selling show from last year's Indianapolis Fringe Festival hits the New York stage as The Midtown International Theatre Festival presents ASSHOLES & AUREOLES, beginning July 27th.

A selection of 40 short plays, chosen from over 450 submissions by playwriting workshops, university theatre programs, and professional companies nationwide will be presented at the 33rd Annual Samuel French Inc.Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival on July 15th.

VITAL THEATRE COMPANY is pleased to announce the final Family Series production of its 2008/2009 season, 'THE FROG AND THE WITCH' book and lyrics by SAMMY BUCK, music by DANIEL S. ACQUISTO (LIKE YOU LIKE IT), directed by ELIZABETH LUCAS (THE LAST STARFIGHTER), choreographed by SHEA SULLIVAN and featuring JEFF BARBA, MONIQUE BEASLEY, ANGELA DIRKSEN, CAITLIN MESIANO, GEORGE SALAZAR and REBECCA STAVIS. The production runs March 14th through April 26th, Saturdays and Sundays at 11 am and 1 pm.

Caitlin and the Swan tells the story of a frustrated SAT tutor, her animal-loving friends, and their powerful attractions to the forbidden. Inspired by the Greek myth of Leda and the Swan, this play explores feminism, bestiality, and the twisted links between pain and love.
