The award-winning VITAL THEATRE COMPANY is pleased to the extention of FLIGHT SCHOOL, THE MUSICAL, a new musical based on the book Flight School by Lita Judge, with a book by Cara Lustik, lyrics by Joshua H. Cohen, music by David Mallamud and directed and choreographed by Wendy Seyb. The production will continue at the Theater at Blessed Sacrament (formerly Arclight Theater Sundays only at 11:00 am, November 14th through December 6th.

Based on the Broadway musical thriller written by Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse, Jekyll & Hyde Resurrection is a live concert featuring the music and songs from the 2006 album starring Rob Evan and Kate Shindle, and produced byFrank Wildhorn and Jeremy Roberts. The album inspired a full symphonic version of the musical that toured the US and South Korea directed by Producer/Director Vincent Marini. This musical retelling of the Robert Louis Stevenson classic takes a modern, dark and Rock influenced approach with the three stars and a full rock band delivering the highly charged and melodic score. BC Beat, the bi-annual choreography showcase established to support, explore and experience innovative theatrical dance, announces a line up for Monday November 10th featuring eight choreographers with work performed by a company of 40 artists from Broadway's biggest hits. Flat Rock Playhouse announced today that producing artistic director Vincent Marini will step down on May 31st to pursue new opportunities. Lisa K. Bryant, currently Flat Rock Playhouse associate artistic director, has been named interim artistic director.

Flat Rock Playhouse presents The Last Five Years, from May 29 - June 22 at the Playhouse Downtown. This beautiful, modern musical explores the five-year relationship between two young New Yorkers, Jamie, a rising novelist, and Cathy, a struggling actress. What makes this story unusual is its simultaneous, yet vastly different depiction from end to end. Jamie is telling the audience the story from the beginning while Kathy shares her story from the end. It is probably the only love story where the two central characters only lock eyes once… in the middle of their story… during their wedding. The rest of the time the audience is a party to their lives, witnessing the ups and downs of their relationship.
