13th Street Rep Launching THEATER BOYS Show and CD

It's the biggest, most ambitious undertaking in years for the historic 13th Street Repertory Theater, at 50 West 13th Street, NYC. On September 21st, they'll be launching ASCAP award-winner Chip Deffaa's new musical comedy "Theater Boys"-and also, during the run, the cast album for the show.

The Town Hall 2014 Summer Season: Broadway Preludes will launch on Friday, June 27 at 8PM with the American premiere of a lost Cole Porter treasure, The Ambassador Revue. This one-night-only event will feature Grammy Award-winning 1920s and 30s musical interpreters Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks (HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire,' Woody Allen's Radio Days, and Martin Scorsese's The Aviator), as well as special guest stars including acclaimed soprano Amy Burton (The Metropolitan Opera, City Opera, Carnegie Hall), Tony Award nominee Anita Gillette (Chapter Two, They're Playing Our Song, Brighton Beach Memoirs), Jason Graae (Falsettos, A Grand Night for Singing), Ted Levy(Jelly's Last Jam, Black and Blue), Grammy-winning jazz and blues vocalistCatherine Russell (featured on soundtracks for HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire' and the film Kill Your Darlings), and two-time Tony nominee Tom Wopat (Catch Me If You Can, Annie Get Your Gun, Sondheim on Sondheim). The Ambassador Revue features direction by author and musical theatre historian Ken Bloom (Broadway Musicals: The 101 Greatest Shows of All Time; The American Songbook: The Singers, Songwriters & The Songs). Dover String Quartet Returns to Music Mountain, 7/13

Music Mountain, American's oldest continuing chamber music festival, continues its 85th Anniversary Season with a weekend of returning favorite artists. The ever-popular Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks return to Gordon Hall on Saturday, July 12 (6:30PM) with a special pre-concert dinner at The Falls Village Inn (5PM), followed by the remarkable Dover String Quartet, with guest artist Jonathan Yates, piano on Sunday, July 13 (3PM) offering an impressive program new to Music Mountain. In the tradition of bringing live music to new audiences, Music Mountain continues the long tradition of inviting a diverse pool of talent to Falls Village each season. Concerts are scheduled thru September 14.

Musical Fireworks at Music Mountain Celebrate the 4th with Beethoven & Broadway

Celebrate the 4th at Music Mountain, America's Oldest Continuing Chamber Music Festival, as they continue their 85th Anniversary Celebration with a weekend of music featuring Beethoven and Broadway! The weekend begins on Saturday, July 5(6:30PM) with The Sharon Playhouse performing the greats of George M. Cohen, plus a pre-concert dinner followed on Sunday, July 6 (3PM) by Alexander Fiterstein, Clarinet; Nicholas Canellakis, Cello; Michael Brown, Piano; and Miranda Cuckson, Violin performing Messiaen and Beethoven - with a pre-concert discussion of Messiaen. Music Mountain prides itself on bringing new music to Falls Village, and this year is no exception. Music Mountain debuts several classical pieces this summer, along with new 'Twilight Series' concerts, like this weekend's first tribute to Broadway. Concerts are scheduled thru September 14.
