The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at the CUNY Graduate Center has announced the complete line-up of its inaugural PEN World Voices International Play Festival, held April 28, 29, and 30th, 2014. With each writer hailing from a different world region as classified by the United Nations, the International Play Festival generates a conversation on art, politics, dreams, war, and philosophy meant to share with American audiences a rich awareness of a greater global dialogue.

F*It Club, the New York Innovative Award-winning film and theatre company, continues its annual series of short, commissioned world-premiere plays with The Spring Fling: First Love, six new short plays by Halley Feiffer (How to Make Friends and Then Kill Them), Kate Gersten (Benefit of the Doubt), Jason Grote (Mad Men, Smash, Hannibal, 1001), Mark Sitko (Rocky Philly, Tube), Tommy Smith (White Hot, Pigeon), and Lauren Yee (The Hatmaker's Wife). Performances will be Thursday, May 1st through Sunday, May 11th with Wednesday through Saturday night performances at 8pm and Sunday matinees at 2p.

Waterwell, one of the Village Voice's Best Arguments for Devised Theater and creators of GOODBAR and #9, announces the second year of its Summer Theater Lab, under the leadership of Victor Maog. Lark Play Development Center and Playwrights of New York (PoNY) welcomed 7th PoNY Kimber Lee, the newest Lark/PoNY fellow to begin her one-year residency in the PoNY apartment in the heart of Manhattan's theater district.

Waterwell will provide a sneak preview of Otis Sallid and AaRon Jones' new musical, Hamelin, as the culmination of its inaugural Summer Theater Lab today, August 3 at 5pm at The Ailey Studios, 405 W 55th Street.

The cast and creative team of the world premiere musical HAMELIN, part of the Waterwell Summer Theater Lab, met the press today, August 2, and performed never-before-seen songs from the show! In attendance were Hamelin director/choreographer Otis Sallid, composer Aaron Jones, Waterwell Summer Theater Lab master class artist Lin-Manuel Miranda, director Victor Maog, and Waterwell artistic director Tom Ridgely. The event celebrates SECOND GENERATION (2g)'s 2012-13 season and introduces its commissioned writers.

Waterwell announces that Smokey Joe's Cafe conceiver, director-choreographer Otis Sallid, and musician Aaron Jones will create a new musical based on The Pied Piper for their summer program. They join the previously announced Kyra Sedgwick ("The Closer"), Bobby Cannavale("Boardwalk Empire"), Stephen Adly Guirgis (Tony Nominee, The Mother****** with the Hat), Megan Hilty ("Smash"), Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights) and Beau Willimon ("House of Cards") who serve as Master Class Artists for the company's inaugural Summer Theater Lab. Casey McClellen and Kyle Pleasant also join the faculty.

The second play in the 2013 SpringBoard Reading Series has announced its casting.

Reed Birney, William Jackson Harper, David Ross, and Danielle Slavick are set for Lucas Hnath's HILLARY AND CLINTON to be directed by Victor Maog. The performance will take place Tuesday June 4th at 7pm at The Players Club, located at 16 Gramercy Park South.

Gotham Stage Company's third installment of their new play series will be co-presented for the first time by Slant Theatre Project. Launched in 2011, the SPRINGBoard reading series exists to nurture new plays and to provide opportunities to both early and mid-career theatre artists. Past featured playwrights have included Carrie Barrett, Randall David Cook, and Ethan Lipton.
