Seventy-three years after its Broadway premiere, Kurt Weill and Maxwell Anderson's Knickerbocker Holiday can finally be heard in its first full recording, released on CD by Ghostlight Records on June 28, 2011.

On Thursday, July 7, 2011, open call auditions for the first-ever Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's landmark rock musical GODSPELL are set to begin at 10 a.m. at The Actors Chapel in midtown Manhattan (239 West 49th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue). Auditions will continue until 5 p.m.

British playwright Joe Orton's classic dark comedy ENTERTAINING MR. SLOANE, hits Los Angeles this June for a four week run at the Actors Company theater. The play, which originally debuted in London in 1964, tells a sexy, suspenseful, and often humorous story that continues to captivate and surprise audiences today. Director Stan Zimmerman leads an ensemble cast which includes: Ian Buchanan (The Bold and the Beautiful), Olivia d'Abo (THE WONDER YEARS), Emrhys Cooper (We Will Rock You) and Robin Gammell (NIP/TUCK).

'Knickerbocker Holiday', a performance by The Collegiate Chorale recorded live at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center on January 25 & 26, 2011 is now available for pre-sale from Ghostlight Records.

In a recent article with the Huffington Post, Alec Baldwin chatted about his dreams of singing in a Broadway show, and his admiration for actors who have stepped up to the challange in the past. Baldwin writes: 'When I have watched and admired people who can sing, like Patti LuPone, Bernadette Peters, Victor Garber, Mandy Patinkin, Michael Cerveris, Jason Danieley, Julie Andrews, Brian Stokes Mitchell, to name a few, I have always wondered what that must be like as a performer. Hallmark Channel announces that 'William & Catherine: A Royal Romance,' a two-hour Hallmark Channel Original Movie from Emmy(R) Award-winning producer Linda Yellen ('Playing for Time') and Emmy(R) Award nominee Brad Krevoy ('Taking Chance') will have its World Premiere exclusively on the network, Saturday, August 27 (9 p.m. ET/PT, 8C).

The Broadway packed NURSE JACKIE on Showtime has just been renewed for a fourth season, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Starring Edie Falco in the title role, the show has featured a parade (which we hope never ends) of other Broadway talent and guest stars as well. The Season 3 finale of NURSE JACKIE is set to air next month.

Stephen Schwartz has teamed up with the New York City opera for the New York premiere of his first opera, Seance on a Wet Afternoon. The prodigious Oscar and Grammy Award-winning composer has written the scores to hit shows Godspell, Pippin, and Wicked, which continues to break Broadway attendance records and has become one of the most popular musicals of all time.

New York City Opera's General Manager and Artistic Director George Steel will moderate an in-depth roundtable discussion on what defines the opera and musical theater genres at the Gershwin Theatre on the set of Stephen Schwartz's acclaimed Broadway production WICKED. He will be joined by a panel of distinguished composers and playwrights including Stephen Schwartz, Rufus Wainwright (composer and performer), Adam Guettel (composer of FLOYD COLLINS and THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA), John Kander (composer of CABARET and CHICAGO) and David Henry Hwang (librettist for operas such as ALICE IN WONDERLAND and THE FLY, playwright of M.
