'The Game's Afoot' takes audiences to a mystery mansion with Sherlock Holmes. Well, not Holmes, himself. Rather, William Gillette, a 1930s actor best known for portraying Sherlock Holmes. After bringing his castmates to his Connecticut estate for a holiday celebration, the merriment ends abruptly when a guest is stabbed to death. Gillette, determined to save his guests, hilariously decides to channel his most beloved role, Sherlock Holmes, to solve the deadly puzzle.

Planet Ant is set to open its 2013-14 season Friday, September 6 with David Mamet's November. This new Oval Office satire depicts one day in the life of a beleaguered American commander-in-chief. It's November in a Presidential election year, and incumbent Charles Smith's chances for reelection are looking grim. Approval ratings are down, his money's running out, and nuclear war may be imminent. November is a scathingly hilarious take on the state of America today and the lengths to which people will go to win. Featuring Seth Amadei* (Dearborn), Dave Davies (Warren), Andy Huff* (Northville), Dan Jaroslaw (Mt. Clemens) and Vanessa Sawson (Ferndale), November is directed by Kelly Komlen (Dearborn) with assistance from Michael Hovitch (Ferndale), stage managed by Ryan Fisher (Albion). Dame Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap is the longest, continuously running play of all time, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Running since 1952 in London would make it an intimidating play to take on, but the Hilberry Theatre Company pulls it off wonderfully. The acting, the set, and costumes are captivating and well done.
