The 25th anniversary celebration of GYPSY OF THE YEAR, the culmination of six weeks of extraordinary fundraising by 56 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway, and national touring companies, raised an amazing $4,343,234 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Tickets go on sale today, December 9, 2013 for the new Broadway play Mothers and Sons by Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally and starring Tony Award winner Tyne Daly. Mothers and Sons marks Mr. McNally's 20th Broadway show, and will be directed by Tony nominee Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall). Additional casting will be announced shortly. As previously announced, Mothers and Sons will play Broadway's John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street).

The 25th anniversary edition of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS' Gypsy of the Year Competition will be presented Monday, December 9 (4:30 PM) and Tuesday, December 10 (2 PM) at the Minskoff Theatre (1515 Broadway). The show will feature performances by New York's best actors, singers, dancers, and musicians with several guest appearances, including Tyne Daly, Cherry Jones, Ian McKellen, Mark Rylance, and Patrick Stewart.

Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) has announced the dates, creative team and leading actress for its next production - the new musical ARLINGTON by Victor Lodato and Polly Pen - with previews set to begin Wednesday, February 12 prior to its official opening night on Sunday, March 2, according to Douglas Aibel, Artistic Director, and Sarah Stern, Co-Artistic Director.

Bucks County Playhouse has announced today that the Playhouse has selected Alexander Fraser and Robyn Goodman to assume the leadership roles of Producing Director and Executive Producer, respectively. They will be replacing outgoing Producing Director Jed Bernstein, who announced earlier this year he will be joining Lincoln Center For The Performing Arts as its next President. Fraser and Goodman will begin their duties at the Playhouse in January of 2014.

Producers Scott Sanders and Wynton Marsalis present After Midnight, directed and choreographed byWarren Carlyle and featuring the big-band sounds of nine-time Grammy Award-winner Wynton Marsalis' Jazz at Lincoln Center All-Stars, After Midnight began previews on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47th St) and celebrated opening night yesterday, November 3. Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco finished her trip to the United States at the Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) Awards Gala last night at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York. HSH Princess Charlene presented the Prince Rainier III Award to Cicely Tyson, which recognizes a renowned leader in the arts whose own accomplishments are coupled with demonstrated service to the performing arts.
