'ALL THAT GLITTERS', an unauthorized biography of a ground-breaking legend, an opulent musical event about the greatest showman on earth is on its way to Broadway for the 2014-15 season, directed and choreographed by Alexander DeJong. The show features Music and Lyrics by Mr. DeJong, Book by Mr. DeJong and James A. Walsh, and Additional Music by Tom Nelson. The show will star Richard Kline as Wladziu Valentino Liberace.

American Theatre Wing Gala Raises Nearly $700,000

The American Theatre Wing (William Ivey Long, Chair; Heather Hitchens, Executive Director) announced today that its annual gala, held last night at the Plaza Hotel, was the most successful in the organization's history, raising nearly $700,000 (besting the previous record, which was set in 2012, by approximately $100,000). All proceeds from the evening will benefit the education and outreach programs of the American Theatre Wing, which include SpringboardNYC, the Theatre Intern Group, the National Theatre Company Grants and the Jonathan Larson Grants, and will also support free access for students, aspiring professionals, and the general public to programming on AmericanTheatreWing.org, including the long running television show "Working in the Theatre."

Betty R. and Ralph Sheffer Foundation and The League of Professional Theatre Women will present Award-winning actress TYNE DALY for the next Oral History interview on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 6:00 pm at the Bruno Walter Auditorium of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts on 65th Street & Amsterdam Avenue. The Broadway Experience returned for a sixth summer program at Manhattan Movement & Arts Center from July 29th - August 11th. With 22 professional educators from the Broadway community, TBE offered over 60 classes, workshops, lectures, and a performance based second week. TBE also launched a new Pre-Professional level for college age students and invited Sierra Boggess as guest speaker. Producers Tom Kirdahy, Paula Wagner & Debbie Bisno, and Alan and Barbara Marks & Wade Turnbull announced today that Mothers and Sons, the new play by four-time Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally, is slated to open on Broadway in Spring, 2014. Tony and Emmy Award-winner Tyne Dalyis set to star in the production, with direction by Tony Award-nominee Sheryl Kaller. More information, including additional star casting and theater, will follow. Mothers and Sons had its world premiere production at Bucks County Playhouse (Jed Bernstein, Producing Director) on June 14, 2013.
