Continuing its focus on New York-based artists across generations, the 2015 Festival will feature short works by 50 emerging and established dance makers, all of whom DANCENOW has presented over the last twenty years. The Festival will take place at Joe's Pub, Wednesday-Saturday, September 9-12, at 7pm, with an encore performance featuring a dozen producer picks on Thursday, September 24, at 7pm.

Showbiz411 writes that CARSON - THE MUSICAL creator Henry Bushkin won a lawsuit today brought by Bruce Singer, Sharon Stone's brother-in-law, who had claimed he was owed money from sales of Bushkin's book about Johnny Carson and The Tonight Show. Showbiz also reports that Bushkin's CARSON - THE MUSICAL, based on his book about the late-night host, is getting ready for a workshop in September.

"50 Shades of F****d Up," a new unauthorized musical parody of the international best-selling behemoth "50 Shades of Grey," shutters after playing four weeks on Saturday. Written, directed and choreographed by Tricia Brouk, with original songs by Andrew David Sotomayor, "50 Shades of F****d Up" was heralded as the only unauthorized musical parody of 50 Shades north of Times Square. It began its run at Sophie's at Broadway, 318 West 53rd Street, on Monday May 12. The show's Off-Off-Broadway opening was on Monday May 19.
