For the second time, THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awardsincluding Best Musical, has broken the house record in Austin, TX for the week ending October 13 at Bass Hall grossing $1,643,268.00. THE BOOK OF MORMON first broke the record the week ending October 6.

The producers of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON,winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) announced today that single tickets will go on sale Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 10 AM. An exclusive pre-sale for American Express Cardmembers will begin at 6 PM on October 30 through 6 PM on November 1. Tickets will be available at the PPAC Box Office (220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence), by visiting www.ppacri.org or by calling (401) 421-ARTS (2787). THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has announced a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins tonight, October 15 at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans and plays a limited two week engagement through Sunday, October 27. In New Orleans, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office before each performance, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 each, cash only.

Team StarKid veteran A.J. Homes is set to join the cast of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, when it hits Omaha's Orpheum Theatre tomorrow, October 12. Holmes' credits include Frederick in Young Frankenstein (National Tour), and Henry in Next To Normal (Arizona Theatre Co. & SJ Rep.). A.J. composes for the Chicago-based theatre group StarKid Productions (A Very Potter Musical, Me And My Dick, Twisted). He is a graduate of University of Michigan.

A spokesperson for Cameron Mackintosh's new production of Boublil and Schonberg's legendary musical 'Miss Saigon,' said today, 'The casting is not yet completed for 'Miss Saigon' and will not be until later in the year as the Director, Laurence Connor, is currently directing 'Les Miserables' in Toronto. No decision has yet been taken about who will play Gigi.'

At the end of the first act of The Book of Mormon, now playing Austin's Bass Concert Hall for a two week run, I thought to myself, 'This is the most distasteful, crude, offensive, and subversive musical I've ever seen, and I'm loving every minute of it.' When I went out to the lobby, it was clear that the audience agreed. Everyone was smiling and wiping away tears of laughter as they quoted some of the best lines so far.
