The 17th Annual Helpmann Awards, presented by Live Performance Australia, will be held on Monday 24 July at 7.00pm at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney on the set of 'Kinky Boots'. The Helpmann Awards are the premier celebration of Australia's vibrant live performance industry, and recognises distinguished achievement and excellence in Australia's live performance sectors.

Glen Street Theatre is proud to announce the program for the inaugural Cabaret in the Glen, the first cabaret festival on Sydney's Northern Beaches and North Shore. Over five days and nights, and across two live stages, Glen Street Theatre will transform into a glorious feast of entertainment, theatre, music, art and conversation. Nominations for this year's 42 awards were announced on 19 June across the country. Excitement is building for the announcement of the 2017 winners on Monday 24 July.

After wowing audiences at London Wonderground in 2016, Trevor Ashley is bringing everyone's favourite diva back to London this Summer in Liza's Back! (is broken), his five-star comic tribute to the iconic Liza Minnelli, playing at the Underbelly Festival for 6 performances only from Today 27 June to Sunday 2 July.

Underbelly Festival is up and running on the South Bank and as always will feature a delicious and devilish feast of cabaret, burlesque, drag and every dastardly combination thereof.

Nominations were announced today for the Sydney Theatre Awards for 2016, which will be presented at a gala ceremony on Monday 23 January 2017 at 6pm at the York Theatre, Seymour Centre, a much larger venue than previous years due to the burgeoning popularity of the ceremony.

Sydney has fallen in love with Hidden Sydney - The Glittering Mile, an immersive theatrical experience that brings to life the characters of historical Kings Cross set in a former brothel.   To cater for Sydney's appetite for this captivating show that strips bare the Cross a new season has been announced that will run from 2 November for 3 weeks.  Courtney Act joins the cast from 2 to 10 November, with Logie Award winner Tim Draxl joining the cast to play playing the role of 'Silver Spade' crooner.
