Signature Theatre is currently presenting the world premiere of THE OPEN HOUSE, by Will Eno and directed by Oliver Butler. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production opened last night, March 3, 2014, and is now playing through through March 23 in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St.) presents the new musical ARLINGTON by Victor Lodato and Polly Pen, directed by Carolyn Cantor (THE GREAT GOD PAN, AFTER THE REVOLUTION). ARLINGTON stars Alexandra Silber(MASTER CLASS on Broadway with Tyne Daly, THE WOMAN IN WHITE) as Sara Jane, a young wife who valiantly tries to remain hopeful while her husband is away at war, despite a growing concern that something is not quite right. This new music-theatre piece is a stirring and powerful work that explores complex questions about history, identity and power as it takes us deeper into the storm stirring beneath Sara Jan's sunny exterior.

It was announced today that this year's Daryl Roth Creative Spirit Award will be presented to Playing on Air, which produces short plays by prominent, contemporary American playwrights for a national audience via public radio and the Internet. Dedicated to nurturing and supporting theatre artists, The Daryl Roth Creative Spirit Award, named for the multi-Award-winning producer, is a financial grant given annually to a theatre artist or organization who has demonstrated exceptional promise in their field.

Second Stage Theatre has announced the addition of ALICE RIPLEY, GINA GERSHON, HENRY ALFORD, ILANA LEVINE, and SANDRA SANTIAGO to the line-up for Annabelle Gurwitch's I See You Made An Effort on March 10th, 2014. This one-night only benefit event is a part of the 35th Anniversary Season at Second Stage Theatre. I See You Made An Effort will also feature the previously announced AMY BRENNEMAN, JUDY GOLD, JESSICA HECHT, TONYA PINKINS, and ANNABELLA SCIORRA.

After a highly-successful season at 54 Below, the show has returned to its downtown roots this year with shows through May. The March show will feature special guests to be announced.

Performances begin tonight for Roundabout Theatre Company's third annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series. On consecutive Mondays in March, Playing on Air presents its first plays for radio broadcast taped in front of live audiences.

The Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center will take place at Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Center (129 West 67th Street in Manhattan). Called 'a rambunctious, uproarious, unpredictable all-star concert' by The Wall Street Journal, 'Night Of A Thousand Judys' will honor the iconic Judy Garland with special skits, tributes and songs from her legendary career as movie star, recording artist and stage performer. This show will also help celebrate the landmark 75th Anniversary of The Wizard of Oz. There will be a pre-show VIP reception at 6:30 PM and the performance at 8:00 PM.
